Blackwood House is situated in a large,
private walled garden.
Laid mainly to lawn, the garden is well planted
with many varieties of shrubs and mature trees such as
ash, bay, holly, beech, acacia... even a monkey puzzle tree.

A magnificent palm tree,
courtesy of the warming effects of the Gulf Stream,
lends the garden a slightly surreal air... perhaps
one of the reasons people who stay, describe the place as an oasis.

The large grounds also provide plenty
of private, off-street parking.
