Blackwood House is a rambling detached
house,
parts of which are over 400 years old. Situated in a large, private,
walled
garden, the bed and breakfast accommodation comprises 4 double/twin
rooms.
All have bathrooms and toilets en-suite,
and are equipped with coffee making facilities and colour TV.
There is central heating throughout and a large residents lounge, with
Sky TV.
The large grounds provide ample private, off-street parking.
You will receive a very warm welcome
from Davey, your host
and resident chef. The easy atmosphere and home from home feeling that
he
creates for his guests, together with his legendary Ulster Fry breakfasts
and home cooked evening meals (on request), combine to ensure that
Blackwood House bed and breakfast,
remains the automatic first choice by his many regulars.
The old stables have been converted
to a self-catering, 2 bedroom cottage. Fully equipped and fully furnished,
the cottage has a separate entrance and is available for longer stays.
If you need accommodation in Northern Ireland, whether you are visiting
Co. Down as a tourist, on a business trip or are coming over to Ulster
on assignment as a contractor, you'll search a long time to
find a better place to rest your head.
